Terms of Service

Who you are agreeing with
Elementa is operated by LX Design Studio, in Graz, Austria. That is who this agreement is with. SUPALABS builds and runs the software on its behalf.
What Elementa does
Elementa estimates the embodied carbon of a building from the materials and quantities you give it, and lets you compare what happens if you retain, reuse, refinish, replace or rebuild each part.
What Elementa is not
It is not a certified life cycle assessment. Elementa is a decision-support tool for the early stages of a project, when the question is which direction to take rather than what to certify. It is not a substitute for a full LCA by a qualified assessor, and its output is not a compliance document.
Most figures come from generic industry averages — the ICE database — rather than product-specific EPDs for the exact products on your building. The app labels this: data quality tier 1 means a product EPD, tiers 3 and 4 mean a generic figure or none at all. Check the tier before you rely on a number.
Where a figure cannot be derived, Elementa shows nothing rather than a zero. An absent number means unknown, not carbon-free. Do not read a blank as a result.
You remain responsible for professional judgement about your own project. If you put an Elementa figure in front of a client, a planning authority or a certification body, verify it first.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your data is yours
You keep every right in the projects and models you put into Elementa. We store and process them to run the service for you, and for nothing else. We do not use your project data to train models, and we do not sell or share it.
You can export any project at any time, and delete it whenever you like.
Plans and payment
Elementa is not charging anyone yet. The plans shown in Settings describe what the tiers will be; selecting one changes what the app shows you and takes no payment, because there is no payment processor connected. Nothing you do in that screen creates a bill.
When billing does start, we will say so before it applies to you, and you will have to agree to it. It will not begin quietly on an account that picked a tier while it was free.
Ending it
You can stop using Elementa whenever you like, export your projects and ask us to close your account. We may close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why. If we retire the service you will get notice and time to export before anything is deleted.
Who this is for
Elementa is sold to businesses and professionals — architects, engineers, developers, consultants — and you use it in the course of that work rather than as a consumer.
Fair use
Do not use Elementa to break the law, to upload things you have no right to upload, or to attack the service or other users. We may suspend an account doing any of those.
Availability
Elementa is early software and is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of defects. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — exports exist for exactly that.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Elementa, including decisions taken on the basis of its estimates. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Law and disputes
Austrian law governs these terms. Disputes go to the competent courts in Graz.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app rather than made silently, and continuing to use Elementa after that means you accept them.
